Motorcyclist killed in collision near I-75 interchange in Flint Twp.

FLINT TWP. — A motorcyclist has been killed and another person injured following a two-vehicle collision on Miller Road near the I-75 interchange in Flint Township.

The crash, which was reported at around 5:50 p.m. last Wednesday evening, took place at the intersection of Miller Road and Claude Avenue just west of I-75. According to police, a 26-year-old Flint man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Miller Road when he was struck by an SUV driven by a 78-year-old Howell man.

Police said that the driver of the SUV was attempting to turn left from westbound Miller Road onto southbound Claude Avenue when he collided with the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, died from injuries he sustained in the crash. The driver of the SUV was not injured but his 77-year-old passenger—also from Howell— sustained minor injuries.
