Mrs. Fields, Cinnabon collect for food bank

FLINT TWP. – Share the love and give back to the community with Mrs. Fields and Cinnabon this Valentine’s Day.

As part of the “Share the Love for Our Community” campaign, Mrs. Fields and Cinnabon will collect non-perishable food for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

The collection will take place Thursday, Feb. 13, and Friday, Feb. 14.

The businesses are located at the Genesee Valley Center.

In exchange for donations, shoppers will receive $5 off the purchase of one 14-inch, heart-shaped chocolate chip “cakie” from Mrs. Fields, or $5 off one six-pack of Cinnabons.

Shoppers also can show their support by purchasing “Share the Love” paper hearts.

All donations will be collected at a special kiosk set up in front of Mrs. Fields in the JCPenney wing.

Karen Gleiser, manager of Mrs. Fields and Cinnabon, said the program “really comes from the heart.”

“Mrs. Fields and Cinnabon have been part of the mall for several years now,” said Gleiser. “We want to support the community that supports us.”

Customers may pre-order the Mrs. Fields cakies by calling 810-230-7511. Cakies can be customized while you wait. – L.R.
