FLINT TOWNSHIP — The Michigan State Police (MSP) Flint Post is pleased to announce their 3rd annual Citizens’ Academy, which will begin Monday, Oct. 1, and end Monday, Nov. 19.
The free, eight-week academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement’s role in the community, and get to know personnel at the MSP Flint Post.
The academy will meet at the MSP Flint Post, 4481 Corunna Road, Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A graduation ceremony will be held Nov. 19. Individuals who are interested in attending the Citizens’ Academy should contact Trooper Katelyn Hammond or Trooper Steve Kramer of the MSP Flint Post at (810) 732- 1111 or via email at HAMMONDK1@ MICHIGAN.GOV to receive an application.
The deadline for applications is Monday, Sept. 24 and there are limited spots available. — L.R.
