Never too old for Halloween fun

About 250 children with parents in tow got an early start last Saturday on wearing their costumes and trick or treating along the hallways at Genesee Gardens Independent Senior Living Community on Calkins Road, organizers said.

The door-todoor candy pass was followed by pumpkin carving and painting and other fun activities. The second annual Safe Trick or Treat Event gave resident seniors the fun of participating in a time-honored holiday tradition while providing a safe outlet for children to gather candy. Costumed staff members and residents mingled with guests in the spider-webbed bedecked atrium for an afternoon of holiday fun.
