LAPEER – Just in time to deal with all of that leftover wrapping paper, a new paper recycling drop off center is open in Lapeer.

R & R Animal Bedding opened the collection site and encourages the drop off of not only wrapping paper, but also old newspapers, magazines, phone books, office paper, cardboard and discarded bulk mail pieces.

Residents are able to pull directly up to the drop off site and discard all of their unwanted items through two large doors.

R & R Animal Bedding recycles paper and turns it into horse bedding, which is good for not only horses, but the environment. Made locally in Lapeer, R & R Animal Bedding delivers across the country to accommodate the various horse industries.

The drop off location is in the former Webco Press building at 588 McCormick Drive, Lapeer and is open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information call 231-519-5782.
