Hopeful Hearts at senior center

Randels Craft Show at HS

FLINT TWP. — Randels Elementary announces its upcoming craft show at Carman- Ainsworth High School 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 6.

The show features approximately 100 vendors featuring homemade or handcrafted items. The show also features a bake sale, raffle and lunch available for purchase. Admission is $1 per person; seniors and kids are free.

C/A announces 9th Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet

FLINT TWP. — The Carman-Ainsworth Athletic Hall of Fame will induct its 9th class into the Hall of Fame Oct. 23. The banquet will take place at Holy Redeemer Family Life Center with a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m., with the program to follow.

This year’s class includes Craig Sheerin, 1985, football and wrestling; Kate Fechik, 1980, basketball, volleyball and softball; Amy Harris, 1987, soccer and tennis; Susan Williams, 1979, basketball, volleyball and softball; Jack Magelssen, 1966, cross country, basketball and track; the 1971 Ainsworth Boys Basketball Team; 1946, 1947 and 1948 Hoover High School Softball Team; and the 1954-1955 Dye Boys Basketball Team.

FLINT TWP. — Kids ages 7-11 are invited to Carman-Ainsworth High School 6:30-9 p.m. Oct. 29 for a swim and gym night. The event features a variety of activities including swimming, basketball, kickball, board games, crafts, music, socializing and pizza. The event is just for kids; all students must be checked in and out by a parent and/or guardian.

Mister Rogers’ Sweater Drive

GENESEE COUNTY — WCMU and the Genesee District Library (GDL) invite the community to participate in the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive Oct. 9-Dec. 18 at all branches of the GDL. Crafters need for Annual Countryside Crafters Fair

FLINT TWP. — Genesee Intermediate School District’s Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center (EKLC) seeks crafters for its 27th Annual Countryside Crafters Fair.

The juried show will be held at EKLC, 1493 W. Maple Ave., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 6.
