Township offices to be closed Veterans Day

Randels Craft Show at HS

FLINT TWP. — Randels Elementary announces its upcoming craft show at Carman- Ainsworth High School 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 6.

The show features approximately 100 vendors featuring homemade or handcrafted items. The show also features a bake sale, raffle and lunch available for purchase. Admission is $1 per person; seniors and kids are free.

Cadette Troop collecting items for Adopt-A-Pet

SWARTZ CREEK — Swartz Creek Cadette Troop (1)1754 will be out in the area later next month, collecting items for its Silver Project which will benefit Adopt-A-Pet.

The troop is collecting unscented cat litter, canned kitten food, dog and cat toys, collapsible cages, cleaning supplies (paper towels, bleach, laundry detergent), stamps (for mailing out information on our different programs), 55- gallon trash bags, hand sanitizer, computer paper, color paper, large plastic storage tubs, medical supplies (triple antibiotic ointment, vet wrap, isopropyl alcohol), small TV/DVD player for cat rooms, Home Depot gift cards and pet store gift cards.

The troop also is collecting from other Girl Scout troops in the Swartz Creek and Carman- Ainsworth, and will be going door to door in Winchester Village and Oakwood Village. The troop will be passing out fliers from Oct. 30- Nov. 6 and picking up donations from Nov. 6- 14.

Anyone not in these subdivisions wishing to donate can call Deb at 810-635-8394 for a pickup. Led by Troop Leaders Bonnie Genovisi, Deborah Pirker-Fruehauf and Judee Letavis, the Cadette Troop aims to help out the community’s displaced animals. — N.B.

Rummage sale

Art Guild seeking donations

SWARTZ CREEK — The recently-formed Swartz Creek Area Art Guild is seeking donations of money, goods and/or services for its upcoming art gallery at 8048 Miller Rd.

The gallery will be used for teaching art, as well as providing a space for local artists to show and sell their art to the public. Mister Rogers’ Sweater Drive

GENESEE COUNTY — WCMU and the Genesee District Library (GDL) invite the community to participate in the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive Oct. 9-Dec. 18 at all branches of the GDL. Crafters need for Annual Countryside Crafters Fair

FLINT TWP. — Genesee Intermediate School District’s Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center (EKLC) seeks crafters for its 27th Annual Countryside Crafters Fair.
