Township offices closed

FLINT TWP.
— Flint Township Municipal Hall will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 3 in observance of the holidays.

Genesee Area Bead Society meets first Tuesday of month

SWARTZ CREEK
— The Genesee Area Bead Society meets at First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek from 6-8 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month.

The society has speakers, demonstrations, potlucks, drawings, picnics and discount cards from three sponsoring bead shops. Other members of our group offer discounts as well.

A person’s first visit is free. Membership for the year is $10, which includes three “make and takes,” discount cards and more. The discount cards gives members a 10 percent discount all the time, and 20 percent off at the first full, three-day weekend of the month.

The three sponsoring shops are Beadin Mon’ on Miller Rd. in Flint Twp.; Bead Haven in Frankenmuth; and Beadifferant in Oxford. — The recently formed Swartz Creek Area Art Guild is seeking donations of money, goods and/or services for its upcoming art gallery at 8048 Miller Rd.

Auditions for Center Stage production

— Swartz Creek Center Stage will hold auditions 7 p.m. Jan. 17-18 in Room 210 at Mary Crapo for its next production, The Curious Savage, a comedy by John Patrick.
