No injuries in trailer park fire

FLINT TWP. — At about 1 a.m. Sunday March 19 Flint Township firefighters responded to a call from 911 about a trailer fire at the Estates of Genesee Valley on Elms Road, according to Assistant Fire Chief Mike Burkley. On arrival, they found fires in three vacant trailers, owned by the park. The center trailer was heavily involved and was a total loss. The two outside trailers sustained fire damage.

The park has an old water system which is not usable for firefighting, so firefighters trucked water in from Elms Road, Burkley said. This did not hamper fire suppression activities, he said.

Mundy Township and Mt Morris Township fire fighters assisted. No one was injured and the Fire is under investigation by fire department. — Rhonda Sanders
