Old Newsboys and Flint Firebirds Ugly Sweater Night Dec. 1



GENESEE COUNTY — The Flint Firebirds will be taking on the Hamilton Bulldogs Dec. 1. This evening will be Ugly Sweater Night with proceeds of the Jersey Sales and 50/50 raffle benefiting the Old Newsboys of Flint, Inc.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. Get your tickets now and support our Firebirds who are supporting the Old Newsboys. Come and join this family friendly event and help to brighten the life of a child this Christmas.

“The Firebirds have partnered with The Old Newsboys of Flint to be the recipient of our 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater night,” said Flint Firebirds President, Costa Papista. “We will be auctioning off our extremely Ugly Sweater Jerseys after the game and all of the proceeds will help provide a Christmas for Children in need throughout Flint and Genesee County.”

“This event gives people a chance to have fun,” says Old Newsboys Executive Director, Christopher Hamilton, “while contributing to a worthy cause.” Proceeds from this event will provide Christmas boxes to needy children in Genesee County. The Old Newsboys have put presents under the tree for over 806,000 children across Genesee County. Last year alone, 6,468 children received gifts from the Old Newsboys. “With the support of the community we’re making a difference,” continues Hamilton, “one child at a time.” – G.G.
