Saginaw Bay Waterfowl Festival at Bay City State Recreation Area. Activities run 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Recreation Passport required for entry to park. Cowboy Long Range Shoot at Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club. Noon-4 p.m. Sign up starts at 9 a.m.

Cowboy Hawaiian Shirt Shoot at Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club. 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Aug. 8

18th annual Boy Scouts of America Sporting Clays Tournament. At Hunters Creek Club, 675 E. Sutton Rd, Metamora. Proceeds benefit youth development through scouting programs that serve 27 counties in Michigan. Registration 11 a.m.; lunch 11:30 a.m.; shotgun start 1 p.m., dinner and awards 5:15 p.m. $180 per person includes course fees, 70 bird shot, lunch, wild game dinner, auction, goodie bags, special tournament gifts and fun and fellowship. Lapeer Bowmen’s Traditional Archery Rendezvous at Lapeer County Sportsmen’s Club, 1213 N. Lake George Rd. $24/ weekend per person, $12/ Day per person, $45/Family/ Weekend. Friday is registration night and fun shoot. Saturday, two outdoor 3D archery courses, knife and tomahawk contest, Lou Becker Memorial Atlatl Tournament, pig roast at 5:30 p.m., coon shoot at dark.
