Parade to celebrate the Class of 2020

DAVISON — The Class of 2020 Davison High School and Alternative Education graduates are invited to participate in a Graduation Car Parade June 24.

Line-up will be at Davison High School beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the parade will begin at 6 p.m.

Any student wishing to participate must fill out a participation form at www.surveymonkey.com/r/25XJSK2

One of the parent organizers, Stacey Manzardo, said the parade came together after “much hard work, many phone calls, signatures from Davison businesses, a lot of frustration and determination.”

She thanked fellow parent Jade Duffie Mills and Davison Community Schools Superintendent Kevin Brown for helping her bring the event together. She said the parade took a lot of teamwork for everyone involved.

Seniors are encouraged to decorate their vehicles with school colors, balloons, signs and so forth. All traffic safety laws must be observed, and seatbelts worn (no riding in the backs of trucks, standing on sideboards, etc.).

Motor vehicles only will be allowed in the parade – no boats, ATVs, motorcycles, etc.).

The parade will take the same route as the homecoming parade, from Clark Street to Main Street. — G.G.
