There were a lot of cats in hats at school recently as Carman- Ainsworth’s pre-k students celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The beloved author and illustrator wrote some 60 children’s book including “The Cat in the Hat” which introduced the cat wearing the iconic red and white striped hat; “Green Eggs and Ham,” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Theodor Seuss Geisel was born March 2, 1904, and died September 24, 1991. A timely reminder from the Doctor of Rhyme: “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.”
