Pasta dinner, auction to benefit PAWS no-kill animal rescue

CLAYTON TOWNSHIP — PAWS Animal Rescue will host its 10th annual Love Rescued Me dinner and auction May 3 at American Legion Post 294, 3440 Morrish Road.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old. Tickets are available at Click on the “donate” button and note dinner auction in the comment box.

The Loved Rescued Me event will feature a pasta dinner, live and silent auctions, bake sale and more. Ted Valley of Vertigo Theatrics will serve as the auctioneer.

All proceeds will support PAWS Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.

The workforce behind PAWS is volunteer-based. Operational needs such as medical care, boarding, food and animal training are just some of the expenses supported by donations from friends of the rescue, community members, and area businesses.

PAWS volunteers work to prevent animals from going to kill shelters, research labs and animal control facilities; increase adoptions of unwanted animals; educate the public regarding the value of the animals in their lives; increase public awareness about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets; and, provide training and rehabilitation for the animals with adoption barriers.

In addition to ticket sales, auction donations and sponsorships are also currently being collected. Contact Tasha Schweikert, PAWS Fundraising Chair, 248-820-9880 or email L.R.
