FLINT — The Genesee County Road Commission (GCRC) has a strategic and experienced new leader.
Fred F. Peivandi, P.E., has accepted the position of Manager-Director for the Genesee County Road Commission.
Originally hired by the GCRC in 1993 as a Construction Project Engineer, Peivandi has consistently illustrated excellence in his work – having now received four internal promotions during his 25 year tenure with the Commission.
Peivandi’s Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, over 35 years of experience in public works, and his familiarity with Genesee County were critical factors which impacted the GCRC Board of Road Commissioners’ decision to select him as the next Manager-Director of the Genesee County Road Commission.
Peivandi is a strategic leader who will seek to translate his expertise in project engineering, academia, and business operations to improve the direction and management of road conditions within the county – and the lives of those who drive them.
In his former position as the Director of Engineering and County Highway Engineer, Peivandi led the oversight of engineering department activities, the design and implementation of project development, fiscal year budgeting, and the identification of the Commission’s improvement priorities and external coordination.
He began his tenure as GCRC Manager-Director on July 30. — G.G.
