Police arrest 2 after shots are fired at home

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Two people were jailed after allegedly shooting up a Grand Blanc Township home early Monday.

Township Police Chief Ron Wiles said the incident appears to have been in retaliation for a post on social media.

No one was home when the shots were fired around 2 a.m. in a subdivision near Perry and Vassar roads, Wiles said. The house and a vehicle sustained damage.

“While en route (to the call), one of the responding officers saw a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description,” the chief said. “Officers stopped the vehicle and ultimately arrested the two occupants.”

Police stopped the suspects on Hill Road west of South Dort Highway, he said.

The suspects, ages 22 and 31, are Flint residents. They were awaiting arraignment as of press time. — L.R.
