Woman cited for no driver’s license

DAVISON TWP. — On May 29 at 8:57 p.m. police stopped a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 40-year-old Flint woman in the 8000 block Davison Road after the officer noticed she was driving without an attached license plate. After contacting the driver, the officer found out she only had a state ID and did not possess a driver’s license and never had one. She was issued a citation to appear in court and was released from scene. A licensed family member came and drove her car home.

Welfare check turns into drunk driving arrest

DAVISON TWP. — Police arrested a 44-year-old Flint man May 31 on a drunk driving charge and for a warrant after he was reportedly passed out behind the wheel of his car.

Police were called to the intersection of Bristol and

Vassar roads at 2:54 a.m. after a Chevrolet Cavalier was reportedly parked on the side of the road after the driver allegedly sped through the intersection, disregarding a stop sign, and blew a tire. A witness said he was traveling at a speed of between 70-80 mph when he went through the intersection and blew out his tire.

The suspect then appeared to be asleep behind the wheel. When police arrived, the man got out of his car and was stumbling toward the officer, who conducted sobriety tests, which he failed, before administering a portable breathalyzer test.

The suspect recorded a blood alcohol content of .197 o the PBT. He was arrested for OUIL and on a warrant for obstructing justice and was taken to the Genesee County Jail, where he was lodged.

Man cited for driving while license suspended

DAVISON TWP. — On June 1, police issued a citation to a 28-year-old Flint man after he was stopped while driving in the 9000 block of Davison Road. It happened at 2:32 p.m. when police stopped him after determining he did not have insurance on his vehicle. After speaking with the driver, the officer determined his driver’s license was suspended. He was issued a citation to appear in court and his vehicle was impounded. Police took the suspect home. — Compiled by Gary Gould
