Woman arrested for drunk driving
DAVISON TWP. — A 26-year-old Flint woman was arrested Aug. 8 for operating while intoxicated during a traffic stop.
Police stopped the woman while she was driving eastbound on Davison Road at Irish Road and went through a stop light at the intersection at 90 mph at 3:30 a.m.
The officer who stopped the woman noticed the smell of intoxicants and administered sobriety tests, which she failed. When he asked her to contest to a portable breathalyzer test, she refused, but contented to a blood draw.
She was taken to the Genesee County Jail where the blood test was administered, and she was lodged. Results of the test are pending.
Woman finds car missing from outside apartment
DAVISON TWP. — On Aug. 8 at 12:37 p.m. police were dispatched to Windsor Place Apartments after a tenant there reported leaving her apartment to find her car gone.
The victim, an 18-year-old Davison woman, went to the parking lot and found that her car had been stolen overnight. Detectives are working actively on the case. There was no further information available.
Crash leads to drunk driving arrest
DAVISON TWP. — A 46-year-old Burton woman was arrested for drunk driving Aug. 8 following a rollover crash at State Road and Lippincott Boulevard.
Police were called to the scene of the accident at 9:15 p.m. after the suspect allegedly ran a red light travelling westbound on Lippincott and crashed into a truck before rolling over.
There were no injuries.
The woman didn’t do well on sobriety tests and then failed her portable breathalyzer test, which recorded a blood alcohol level of .295.
She was arrested and taken to the Genesee County Jail where she consented to a blood draw.
Wrong-way driver arrested for OWI
DAVISON TWP. — A 26-year-old Davison woman was stopped by police on I-69, Aug. 10, after she was found driving the wrong way.
Police received a report of someone driving eastbound in the westbound lane of I-69 near the Oak Road overpass at 2:45 a.m. Officer caught up with the woman and stopped her and when they approached her she smelled of intoxicants.
After she failed sobriety tests, a PBT was administered and it gave a BAC reading of .244. Police said this was the woman’s second offense.
She was arrested and taken to the Genesee County Jail where she was lodged and consented to a blood draw. — Compiled by Gary Gould
