Police investigating early morning homicide



FLINT TWP. — A  Flint man, 41, was the victim of a shooting in a parking lot on Ballenger Highway this morning, according to a police press release.
At about 2 a.m. today, Flint Township Police were called to an area near the McDonald’s restaurant, 1232 N. Ballenger Hwy., in response to a complaint of a disorderly person in the parking lot. 
Upon arrival, officers found a 41 year old Flint Township man in the parking lot suffering from multiple guns shot wounds.  He was transported to Hurley Medical Center by ambulance where he died. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Officers interviewed witnesses at the scene who provided a vehicle description and license plate number of a vehicle containing two suspects. This information was immediately sent out to all police agencies in the area.  
At 2:18 a.m., Michigan State Police troopers located the vehicle with the suspects near Ballenger Highway and Raskob Street in the City of Flint,
Police now have in custody a 23 year old man and a 22 year old woman, both of Flint who are currently being held at the Genesee County Jail. — Rhonda S. Sanders
