Police recover stolen Taser, equipment




FLINT TWP. — A joint investigation between the Flint Township Police Department and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department led to the arrest of suspects and the recovery of police equipment stolen from a vehicle last week.

The theft occurred on March 5 when Flint Township Police Department was dispatched to 4151 Miller Rd. for a larceny from auto complaint. Reported taken from an unmarked police car were three police issued bullet proof vests and a police Taser.

The suspects were observed on a security camera driving away in a dark blue early 2000’s style Dodge or Chrysler minivan, according to a police report.

Additionally, evidence and property from several other larceny from automobile complaints have been recovered from the suspects’ residence.

Three suspects have been lodged at the Genesee County Jail and charges may be brought against two other suspects, according to township police detective Alex Minto. — R.S.
