Prep All-Star game ends in 5-5 tie

MIDLAND – In a rain-shortened third annual Michigan High School All- Stars baseball game at Dow Diamond on Monday, the game was called a 5-5 tie when persistent rain rolled across the area.

The North has led the series 2-0, and had scored one in the third inning and four in the sixth while the South team had scored one in the third, two in the sixth and three in the seventh based on the scoreboard.

The South team included Lapeer’s Todd Woloszyk, LakeVille’s Kyle Carson and North Branch’s Mitch Bonner and Carson Kempa. Others on the squad included Swartz Creek’s Sam Anderson and Jaxon Beckham, Davison’s Nick Densmore, Grand Blanc’s Nolan Hamilton and Nick Morales and Goodrich’s Luke Kleindl. LakeVille coach Drew Johnson was part of the five-member South coaching staff. – L.P.
