Progress report

It's been about four months since an announcement that three new stores are coming to the former Circuit City building, 4071 Miller Road, which has sat vacant since 2009 when the electronics chain filed for bankruptcy and closed. Visible signs of progress in recent weeks include the removal of the marquee Circuit City sign and subdividing off the left front section of the 45,506 square-foot building as the future home of an Ulta cosmetics store. Other announced stores slotted for the space are The Christmas Tree Shop and Five Below discount stores. Plans also call for upgrading the facade and an 8,000-square-foot addition on the right side of the building.
