RALPH “BUD” C. STODDARD, 84, of Davison, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service was held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1084 North Irish Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiated. The family received visitors 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Grace Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church or the Harrisville Lions Club, in Bud’s memory.

Bud was born in Davison, MI on May 26, 1936, son of the late Guy and Myrtle (Pettingill) Stoddard. He was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1955. Bud married Rebecca Shriner on December 17, 1955 in Flint, MI. He retired from AT&T in 1997 after 42 years of service. After retirement, Bud and Becky moved to the Harrisville area where he was active in many community projects. He was especially proud of his membership in the Harrisville Lions Club. Bud was instrumental in the establishment of the Harrisville Duck Race and chaired the event for many years. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, MI. Bud enjoyed traveling to his cabin Up North, hunting, fishing, walks in the woods and spending time on his boat and tractor. Above all, Bud cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Bud is survived by his wife of 65 years, Becky Stoddard; three children, Michelle (Harold) Steiner, Douglas (Dana) Stoddard and Steven (Kim) Stoddard; seven grandchildren, Emily (John Karadell) Steiner, Aaron (Stacy) Steiner, Andrew (Laura) Steiner, Carter Stoddard, Alex Stoddard, Noelle Stoddard and Claire Stoddard; six great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Myrtle Stoddard and six siblings.
