WASHINGTON — Congressman Dan Kildee participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, following a challenge last week by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer, according to a press release.
In addition to taking the Ice Bucket Challenge, Congressman Kildee also made a personal donation today to the ALS Association. A video of Congressman Kildee taking the Ice Bucket Challenge can be viewed online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBmE_ amxur- Q&list=UUmJSqscTQoZ6428yIwT46Jg
“ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a terrible degenerative disease that currently has no cure. Through the Ice Bucket Challenge, we’re helping to raise awareness and much-needed money for research to hopefully eradicate ALS,” Congressman Kildee said. “I now want to challenge three more friends to join me in the Ice Bucket Challenge and making donation to the ALS Association: Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, State Senator Jim Ananich, and my freshman colleague in Congress, Representative Beto O’Rouke.” — Rhonda Sanders
