Republicans square off for nomination to oppose Kildee in November

GENESEE COUNTY — In the races for the 5th District Congressional seat, two Republican candidates will face one another in the Aug. 4 primary.

Republicans Tim Kelly, of Saginaw and Earl Lackie, of Hale, are both running for the 2-year term, 5th District Congressional seat currently held by Dan Kildee (D-Flint).

The winner of the race between the two will face Kildee in the Nov. 3 general election. Kildee is unopposed in the primary. — G.G.
