Rotary Club to hold fundraiser raffle at Flushing Harvest Festival

FLUSHING — The Rotary Club of Flushing is selling raffle tickets as its primary annual fundraising event again this year. Due to COVID, we are not having our annual Entertainment Tent. However, we are still selling raffle tickets at the Flushing Harvest Festival to raise funds for our community projects. Some of our projects have included new stadium seats in Riverview Park, the Nature Trail, river clean-up, river overlook remodel in Riverview Park and other community projects.

Raffle Tickets will be sold on Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at a ticket sales table on the sidewalk downtown at 105 Main Street, with the raffle drawing held at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and include buy-one get one free coupons at Cops and Robbers Great Escape mini-golf. Ticket holders need not be present to win. The first raffle prize is $1,000, second prize $250 and third prize is $100.

In addition to our annual raffle, the Rotary Club of Flushing has established a charitable fund with the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. The purpose of the fund is to benefit the community of Flushing. Donations to the fund may be made to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint for the benefit of the Rotary Club of Flushing Fund at www.flushingrotary.com/stories/donate-to-the-rotary-club-of-flushing-fund.

The Rotary Club of Flushing meets Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. at Sorrento’s Restaurant, 6395 W. Pierson Road in Flushing. More information is available at www.FlushingRotary.com or by contacting the Club at FlushingRotaryClub@gmail.com. Visitors are welcome to attend a Flushing Rotary meeting.

The Rotary Club thanks the Flushing community for its continuing support of its projects in the community. — Submitted by the Rotary Club of Flushing.
