BASEBALL

Carman-Ainsworth was swept by Bay City Western on Monday, losing the first game 3-2 and the second 15-2. In the early game, the Cavaliers took a 2-0 lead in the third inning. Bay City Western added one in the fifth and then drove home two in the seventh for a walk off win.

Carman-Ainsworth was at the Mt. Morris invitational on Saturday. No stats were reported other than a 12-2 loss to Kearsley. Harrison Hogan had a pair of hits with a double for the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers fell to Flint Powers last Wednesday in both games of the doubleheader, losing the early game 3-2 after allowing Powers to take a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Carman- Ainsworth tried to fight to come back, but fell just short. In the nightcap, the Cavaliers lost 11-1 with their lone run coming in the fifth inning off a combination of walks and a hit batter. Powers had one run in the first, one in the second, two in the third, five in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Carman-Ainsworth hosts Midland tonight. – K.R.

GOLF

The Cavaliers competed in the third Saginaw Valley League meet of the season last Wednesday, but no final stats were reported. Flint Powers Catholic placed first with a 299, host Midland shot a 306 and Lapeer tallied a 325 to take third.

SOCCER

The Lady Cavs traveled to Lapeer on Monday, losing 8-0. Carman-Ainsworth fell to Corunna on Friday, losing 4-2. Both goals for the Cavaliers were scored by Destinee Lester with an assist by Aja Williams.

Carman-Ainsworth was shut out 8-0 by Saginaw Heritage last Wednesday. The Lady Cavaliers were at Flint Powers following press deadlines yesterday. Carman-Ainsworth hosts Montrose on Tuesday. – K.R.

The Lady Cavs were swept at home on Monday by Bay City Western, 16-0 and 19-0, in Saginaw Valley League action.
