The Cavaliers were at the Saginaw Valley League championship last Wednesday at the Fortress in Frankenmuth, finishing ninth with a 416. Flint Powers Catholic took first with a 303, Midland placed second with a 326 and Lapeer secured third with a 327.

Aaron Floyd carded an 86 to lead Carman-Ainsworth on the day. Tyson Fields shot a 94, John Karbowski had a 96 and Griffin Roussau added a 140.

Carman-Ainsworth will travel to Metamora Golf and Country Club next Thursday for its regional tournament. – A.V

Carman-Ainsworth was shut out at Flint Powers last Wednesday, 10-0. The game ended after the first half.

District pairings:

Div. 1 at Davison

The Lady Cavaliers will face an undefeated Swartz Creek in Tuesday’s district opener at 6:45 p.m. at Davison. The winner moves on to play Davison on Wednesday. Grand Blanc and Flushing play in Tuesday’s early game. The winner will play Lapeer on Wednesday. The final two teams go head-to-head on June 2 for the district title. – K.R.
