BASEBALL

The Cavaliers split a double header with Kearsley at home on Monday night, losing the first game 3-2 before bouncing back to win the second 3-2. No stats or details were reported to meet press deadlines. — J.O.

The Carman-Ainsworth girls’ soccer team kicked off the season on Monday with a 1-1 tie against Kearsley. Destinee Lester had Carman-Ainsworth’s lone goal of the game on a penalty kick. Keeper Taylor Williams was in net with four saves.
