Carman-Ainsworth girls competed in their first match of the season at Flint Golf Club on Monday. The team was unable to post a team score due to having just three players compete, with two of the three golfers playing in their first-ever varsity match.

Michaela Hitchcock carded a 138 to lead the team, while Abbi Pelky and Brooklyn Daly, who both played for the first time at the varsity level, carded a 144 and 170, respectively.

“A bit of a rough start, but the three girls that played persevered through some windy conditions and rain at the end,” said Carman- Ainsworth coach Matt Young. “Abbi and Brooklyn’s first varsity match – 18 holes is a tough way to start. They were positive and had fun.”
