SWIM AND DIVE

In their final meet before the holiday break, the Cavaliers lost to Bay City Western, 137-43, as well as to Davison, 134- 39, at home last Thursday.

In the 200 medley relay, Nathan Ratynski, Zion Clingman, Jack Roy and Cameron Koegel placed third in 2:06.73. Clingman finished second overall in the diving, posting a 110.85 while Ratynski was second in the 100 back in 1:08.16. — B.P.

WRESTLING

The Cavs competed in the Tri-County Classic at Clio High School on Friday.

At 103 lbs., Jabril Muhammad received a first-round bye and then lost by fall to Fenton. In the second consolation round, Muhammad received another bye before defeating Mt. Morris by fall. In the consolation semifinal, Muhammad lost by fall to Grand Blanc. Tayshawn Vanamberg, also at 103, lost by fall to Fenton in the first round before receiving a bye in the first consolation round. In the second consolation round, Vanamberg lost by fall to Millington.

Isaiah Robinson lost his first match by fall to Linden before receiving a bye in the first consolation round. In the second consolation round, Robinson lost by fall to Midland Dow. At 125 lbs., Brijesh Kumar lost by fall to Davison and was eliminated by fall to Linden in the second consolation round after a bye.

Larry Brown (130) lost both of his matches, first losing by decision to Bendle in the first round before losing by fall to Carman-Ainsworth in the first consolation round. At 135, Omar Al Hallak lost by fall to Fenton in the first round and lost by decision to Millington in the second consolation round following a bye.

At 140, Sonny Morgan lost by fall in the first round to Mt. Morris and by decision in the first consolation round to Clio. Jacob Durbin (160) lost by fall to LakeVille in the first round and then won by decision over Corunna in the first consolation round. Durbin then lost by decision to Midland Dow in the second consolation round.

At 171, Chase Williams lost by fall in the first round to Corunna before receiving a bye in the first consolation round. In the second consolation round, Williams defeated LakeVille by fall before defeating Grand Blanc by fall in the third consolation round. In the consolation semifinal, Williams lost by fall to Swartz Creek.

Jelani Hamilton (285) drew a bye before losing by fall to Kearsley in the quarterfinal. Hamilton then received a bye in the second consolation round before defeating Southwestern Classic Academy by fall in the third consolation round. Hamilton lost by fall to Davison in the consolation semifinal.

Last Wednesday, Carman- Ainsworth lost 60-12 to Grand Blanc and 51-21 to Bay City John Glenn at Grand Blanc.

Against Grand Blanc, Durbin (152) won his match by 13-6 decision, Kinanje Haney (119) won by fall and Kumar (125) won by 8-7 decision. Against John Glenn, Haney at 119, Kumar at 125 and Durbin at 152 won their respective matches by fall, while Williams (189) won by decision.

Carman-Ainsworth is at the Montrose Holiday Classic Team Tournament tomorrow. — A.V.
