The Cavaliers participated in the Sterling Heights quadrangular on Tuesday and came away with a 2-1 record. Carman defeated Warren Cousino, 24-26, 25-22, 27-25, and East Detroit, 25-15, 25-13. Sterling Heights bested the Cavs, 25-11, 21-25, 25-17.

Once again, Kamrin Gold led the way for Carman with 56 kills, and 23 digs, while Danielle McClung had 76 assists, Brandi Rimmer added 23 kills, and Monica Townsend chipped in 26 digs.

Last Wednesday, Carman hosted Flint Powers and won in three games, 25-10, 25-17, 25-21. Gold had 16 service points, 10 aces, 14 digs and 11 kills for yet another triple double. Miya Ingram had eight kills and eight digs, while Kylie Schneider added 15 digs, Rimmer came through with six kills, Aarin Townsend had 15 service points and McClung chipped in 15 assists.

The Cavs, 16-18-4 overall, 2-3 Big Nine, travel to Davison today and Holland West Ottawa on Saturday. — E.H.
