CROSS COUNTRY

Both the boys and girls finished in ninth place at the Saginaw Valley League meet last Wednesday with the boys posting 259 and the girls 283. Saginaw Heritage claimed the top spot in the boys’ race with 47 and Midland Dow recorded a 40 to win the girls’ race.

Mikaiah Holbrook led the girls in 54th in 23:06.28, Mikalya Holbrook was 55th in 23:24.34, Rayven Brantley was 57th in 23:59.52, Bailey Curtis was 58th in 24:03.69, Arianna Vantine was 59th in 24:56.34, Niajah Hood was 61st in 25:23.34 and Jasmine Parkinson was 63rd in 27:07.23.

In 30th to lead the boys was Jo Chinkeefatt in 17:51.15, Wyatt Pangerl was 55th in 20:12.93, Colin Smith was 57th in 21:10.51, Andrew Stephens was 58th in 21:12.78, Juan Cunningham was 63rd in 24:52.74, Keegan Maguffee was 66th in 27:22.32 and Tyler Willis was 67th in 27:32.76. – B.P.

VOLLEYBALL

The Cavaliers were scheduled to be at the Fenton Tournament on Saturday. No details were reported as we went to press on Wednesday. Carman- Ainsworth hosts a Class A district site with play beginning on Monday. – L.P.
