BURTON — The Flint RV and Camper Show will join the Spring Home and Garden Show this year at the Perani Arena March 18-20. Ordinarily two separate events, the economy made the decision to combine the shows easy.
“This makes it a little bit easier for us as an association to financially handle a show in Flint,” said RV show director Bill Sheffer. Last year, an RV show was not held.
The Michigan Association of RVs and Campgrounds (MARVAC) will handle the RV show side and the Builders Association of Metro Flint with the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan will be in charge of the home show side.
Sheffer expects more than 60 motor homes, travel trailers and tent campers to be on display. More than 100 home and garden exhibits will be set up, manned by home improvement and landscape experts.
An emphasis on repairs and fixing up existing equipment will be the focus in some of the booths. A “Salute to Spring” display will greet patrons in the lobby of the arena.
The Flint Camper and RV Show and the Spring Home and Garden Show is 2-9 p.m. March 18, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. March 19 and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. March 20. Parking is free.
Adult admission (ages 13 and up) is $7, senior admission is $6, and children 12 and under get in free.
A coupon good for $1 off admission is available at www.springhomeandgardenshow.com and Gill-Roy’s Hardware stores.
