FLINT — Roberta Sacharski has been named Chief Deputy Register of Deeds. Genesee County Clerk and register John Gleason said the longtime attorney brings a much needed law background to the department.
Sacharski said there are plenty of challenges ahead in her new job, but she’s looking forward to the opportunity.
“I’m excited to be part of this office. I’ve been working at a law firm in Lansing as an associate attorney for the last couple years. I’m excited to come home to Genesee County, bring the experience and knowledge of the law here to the people and serve the people of the county,” Sacharski said.
She said her first priority will be organizing the workload for the department’s 10 employees. Sacharski is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Western Michigan’s Thomas Cooley Law School and lives in Swartz Creek with her husband. They have three children. — G.G.
