FLINT — Skaff Furniture Carpet One is partnering with the local YWCA to help victims of domestic violence.
Dick Skaff, president of the Skaff home furnishings operation, said that his family supports the YWCA’s efforts to empower women, and domestic violence is one of the most compelling issues the organization tackles.
On Oct. 12, Skaff will hold a special event, featuring great savings for their customers, and a way for everyone to give back to the community through the YWCA.
“We are putting together a store wide promotion, just for this day. We hope to reach a huge group of our loyal customers. We want to raise awareness for the YMCA’s program, but we want to do more. So, a portion of every purchase on Oct. 12 will be donated to the Domestic Violence programs.”
“We know our customers will like the sale prices and the interest free payments. But we know from past experience that people love knowing that their purchases are also giving back to the community.”
The YWCA SafeHouse is the only location in Genesee County that provides free, safe emergency shelter and supportive services to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault
