Sale will benefit soldiers overseas

ORTONVILLE —The Ortonville Sewing Club will once again be set up in the hallway at Bueches on Nov. 26, selling items made by them or donated to them. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to help soldiers and veterans by way of buying snacks and personal care items for the Desert Angels packing parties. They also make neckcoolers for them in the summer and lap quilts and catheter bag covers for the VA hospital. The club meets at the Edna Burton Senior Center on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Donations of fabric, yarn and sewing supplied are greatly appreciated as well as cash donations. They have a great new supply of sewn items, including Christmas table runners, pot holders, as welll as many items great for gift giving. — G.G.
