FLINT — The community is invited to celebrate the upcoming holiday season with The Salvation Army for a free traditional Thanksgiving eve dinner on Nov. 23, from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Beecher Corps located at 1475 W. Coldwater Road.
“We see this as a wonderful opportunity to open our doors and hearts to invite the public in to share the Thanksgiving experience with us,” said Captain Jon Augenstein, Genesee County coordinator of The Salvation Army. “The free meal will be served by volunteers and include all the traditional Thanksgiving fare from turkey and dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, salad fixings to delicious fresh baked pies.”
Last year, nearly 400 people enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving eve dinner with The Salvation Army. Everyone is welcome, so be sure to bring your family, friends, and neighbors to join us for our free Thanksgiving eve dinner on Nov. 23. — G.G.
