FLINT TWP. — Capitol Coney Island, 4021 Van Slyke Road, will be hosting a special guest — Santa Claus — from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, December 17.
To help celebrate the holidays, Capital Coney Island will be offering free meals to all kids who come in on Saturday during those hours. Any child who comes into Capitol on Saturday will receive a free breakfast. Children will also have a chance to meet Santa Clause and get their picture taken.
“We have been doing this for years, the parents love it, we love it, and most importantly, the kids love it,” said owner Nick Pirkovic. Reservations are not required but can be placed by calling ahead at 810-238-5961.
Capitol Coney Island originally opened in 1966, has been serving the Flint community for 49 years. Nick and Anastasia Pirkovic purchased Capital Coney Island with business partners back in 2005, and have been in the restaurant business for roughly two decades.
