Santa Claus is coming to town

FLINT TWP. — Santa Claus will arrive at Genesee Valley Center mall at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, November 6. Flint Township Firefighters will escort Santa and his reindeer to the Outdoor Village at 6 p.m.

Santa will greet guests and then ride the Mini Express train through the mall to his holiday home in Center Court. Families can enjoy complimentary hot cocoa from Coffee Beanery and chocolate chip cookies from Mrs. Fields, beginning at 5:45 p.m. near the Outdoor Village Christmas tree, while supplies last. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors to the JCPenney wing.

Santa will join his Woodland Friends in Center Court for photos through December 24. The Woodland Friends Santa display is based on the children’s book “Stranger in the Woods” by Carl R. Sams II and Jean Stoick and is sponsored locally by Dort Federal Credit Union.

Santa will be available for photos Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. through Dec. 23. Photos will be available on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each child that visits with Santa receives a special gift, no purchase necessary.
