Art in the Park
SWARTZ CREEK – Art in the Park returns to Elms Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. New this year is a children’s parade at 11 a.m. Children may dress up as their favorite Disney characters and march through the art fair grounds. More than 60 artists and artisans will sell their handiwork, from paintings to glassware to woodworking and more. Music will be provided in the entertainment tent. Classic cars and Soul’d Out to benefit FIM
FLINT — Flint Institute of Music (FIM) presents Cars and Bars, from 5-10 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, at Bobby’s Warehouse, 1111 James P. Cole Blvd. This is a fundraising event hosted by Dr. Bobby Mukkamalato to support FIM and Sloan Museum. Bring your own classic ride and join the party! More than 35 classic to new vehicles, including favorite models from movies and television, will be on display with a live performance by Soul’d Out and food from Brick Street Bar & Grill and more.
