SWARTZ CREEK — A Black Lives Matter peaceful protest will take place at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, in the north lot of Swartz Creek Middle School.

The event is a peaceful protest. Masks are required. A limited number of masks will be provided for those who do not have one.

Blood drive

Can/bottle drive

SWARTZ CREEK — Knights of Columbus Swartz Creek Council #6694 will sponsor a can and bottle drive from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 25, in the rear parking lot at St. Mary Queen of Angels Church, 4413 Morrish Road. Proceeds will support Michigan seminarians.

To make the collection as safe and successful as possible, place returnable cans and bottles in the trunk/truck bed of your vehicle; remain in your vehicle, collection staff will remove the items; and, observe social distancing guidelines. — L.R.
