DAVISON — The Davison Board of Education voted May 4 to authorize the issue and sale of the bonds approved by District voters during the March 10 election.
“It seems like a year ago we passed our March 10, 2020 bond,” said Superintendent Kevin Brown. “But the facilities bond passed and now we have to issue the sale of the bonds.”
Stifel, an investment bank and financial services company, was named as the primary bond underwriter.
District officials and the Board’s Building and Grounds Committee have been working with Kingscott architects to begin the design of the new auditorium.
The District also expects to seek bids soon for the replacement of roofs at Siple Elementary, Davison Alternative Education and a portion of the roof at Davison High School this summer. — G.G.
