BALTIMORE – A very shorthanded Waza Flo swallowed an 11-1 loss against the Baltimore Blast in Major Arena Soccer League play on Saturday in Baltimore in front of 3,204 fans

Only 10 Waza Flo players suited up for the game. That’s half of the normal 20-man roster. Fifteen are permitted to dress for each game.

Waza Flo apparently lost three players to injury in their 9-4 loss Friday against Syracuse at Syracuse and had little time to fill in the voids. One player was removed from the field via stretcher.

Against Baltimore, Waza scored its lone goal in the opening minute of the fourth quarter. The Blast had three goals from Andrew Hoxie, Levi Houapeu had one goal and two assists and Vini Dantas and Lucas Roque each chipped in with two goals apiece. Six other Baltimore players had one goal each.

Waza Flo is home Saturday, Nov. 28 hosting the Milwaukee Wave at 7:05 p.m. at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. – L.P.
