FLINT TWP. — When a Traffic Adaptive Signal Project wraps up in January, motorists can expect to enjoy a smoother traffic flow on busy Miller Road from Ballenger Highway to Linden Road and on Linden Road from Bristol Road to Lennon Road.
“A Traffic Adaptive Signal System is a computerized system that uses cameras and Enhanced Software to review traffic approaching each intersection,” said John Plamondon, construction manager for the Genesee County Road Commission. The system then adjusts signal timing to Adapt to the traffic flow allowing more fluid movement of traffic within each corridor.”
Work begun on August 8 will be done at all signalized intersections, using single lane closures. Motorists are advised to allow more travel time to reach destinations.
The anticipated project completion date is January12, 2017.
