GENESEE COUNTY — Last year, the Skaff Save & Share event was just one-day and included three charitable organizations but will grow this year to four days and will benefit four outstanding charities in the community.
“The response from our one-day Save & Share event last November was tremendous. We were busy from the moment our doors opened right up until closing,” says Dick Skaff, Skaff Furniture-Carpet One President. “As a result, we were able to write checks totaling $33,000 to our three participating charities.
“This holiday season, we hope to create an even bigger impact by making Save & Share a four-day celebration to benefit four remarkable organizations in our area.”
According to Skaff, 5% of each and every furniture and carpet purchase between Friday, November 24 and Monday, November 27 will go to Carriage Town Ministries, The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Whaley’s Children’s Center, and Communities First.
Customers can choose the charity they would like to support, or, if they want, they can divide their donation between all four organizations.
“As an incentive for people to stop by during the four-day event, we are reducing prices in every department, so customers realize significant savings, which, in turn, will make a significant impact for people in need in our community,” says Skaff.
Customers will also have the opportunity register to win prizes such as a queen-size mattress set, a recliner, room-size carpet remnants and more.
“Once again, we are doing everything we can to make this our biggest event of the year. We’re offering great values to our customers and proceeds from every sale will stay right here in our area to help make a difference,” smiles Skaff. “It truly is a win-win for everyone!”
Skaff Furniture-Carpet One is family owned and has been in business in Genesee County since 1911. The 70,000 square-foot Skaff Warehouse and Showrooms are located at 23-Expressway and Hill Road.
