Sloan Museum at Courtland Center mall is celebrating space travel and technology with Above and Beyond, an interactive exhibit that explores innovations in aerospace. Visitors can view the latest advancements in space aviation and explore the galaxy with hands-on activities, such as testing and racing supersonic fighter jets, riding a simulated space elevator to the edge of the universe or using motion sensing technology to experience the power of flight from a bird’s eye view. The exhibit debuted with a members-exclusive showing on May 14 and opened to the general public on May 15. Tickets are available online at SloanMuseum.org or over the phone at 810-237-3450. Above and Beyond is presented by Boeing and produced by Evergreen Exhibitions in collaboration with NASA and the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. The exhibit will run through Sept. 5.
