Some changes, some new restaurants coming to Davison area

DAVISON AREA — There are some new restaurants coming to the community, as well as some changes with existing businesses.

Wild Bill’s Tobacco Shop, 626 N. State Rd., is moving to the former Diehl’s Party Store, 627 N. State Rd., from its location in the Kroger Plaza across the street. Work crews are currently renovating and remodeling the former party and liquor store.

Cottage Inn Pizza is moving into the former Pizza Hut, 9430 Lapeer Rd. in Davison Township.

Also coming to Davison Township is Jersey Mike’s, which will be opening a shop in the strip plaza next door to Black Rock on Irish Road. Jersey Mike’s Subs is an American submarine sandwich chain headquartered in Manasquan, NJ. The Jersey Mike’s franchise has 1,910 locations open and about 124 more in development across the United States.

Detroit Wing Company is also opening a restaurant in Davison Township in the plaza next door to the Taco Bell, 1232 Irish Rd. Detroit Wing Company, based in Eastpointe, Michigan, opened in 2015. According to it’s website, the restaurant chain has one mission: to “provide its customers with the highest quality wings and sauces available – anywhere.” — G.G.
