Lapeer Storm win tourney
LAPEER — The 02 Lapeer Storm went 3-0 to earn a tournament championship and gave up only one goal in the process. The Storm defeated Orchard Lake United, 1-0, the Rochester Rattlers, 4-0, and defeated Orchard Lake United in the finals, 5-1.

Men’s softball league coming up
BURTON — From the first week in May to mid- July the Burton Eagles #3184, 3317 Bristol Rd., will be hosting a softball league for men 18-and-up for $650 per team. Currently the schedule is open, but teams are guaranteed 20 games including playoffs. Details: Dennis Marshall 810-653-3750. — M.S.

FLINT TWP. — The Bendle/Carman-Ainsworth Adult and Community Education program is offering T-ball for five and six year olds on May 4, 11 and 18 and June 1, 8 and 15 at 11:30 a.m. and June 3 and 10 at 7 p.m. Cost is $40 and on April 27 there will be a meeting at the Carman-Ainsworth middle school gym at 11:30 a.m. Also available is T-ball for three and four year olds from May 4-June 15 on Saturdays at 10 a.m. for $35. This includes a 10 a.m. meeting at at the Carman-Ainsworth middle school gym on April 27. All games take place at Carman-Ainsworth high school pre-registration is required for both programs by April 25.
Another option is baseball for kids 7-8, 9-10 and 11-13 years of age on Tuesday and Thursdays from May 28-June 27 at 5:45 and 7:30 p.m. for $60, or $75 with a shirt, hat pants and helmet. Playoff games are scheduled for July 9 and 11 and the finals are slated for July 13 and will feature a picnic. All contests take place at Carman-Ainsworth middle school. This includes a coaches clinic on May 4 from 10- 11:30 a.m. for the seven and eight year olds while kids 9-13 should attend from 12-1:30 p.m. If it rains, the camp will be moved to the middle school gym. Kids gridiron clinic
FLINT — The Flint Semi-Pro Football Organization will be holding a youth football camp on May 25, at 8 a.m. at Atwood Stadium. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the camp will begin around 8:30 a.m. The camp is offered to kids between the ages of 7-12 and is free to all participants. Registation will end on March 27. Participants will learn the game of football and get physically fit. Coaches will address the importance of proper coaching, academics, health and saftey, and life skills. Details: 810-336-9024. — A.M
