FLINT — On Jan. 26 at 4 p.m. internationally renowned concert organist and recording artist Gail Archer will present an organ recital, “A Russian Journey” at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 711 S. Saginaw St.

With more than 80 ranks of pipes the Dalton Memorial Organ at the church will produce wonderful music under her superb musicianship and masterly technique. The program will include works by César Cui, Sergei Lyapunov, Alexander Glazunov and Sergey Slonimsky.

Archer is a noted recording artist and has released albums on the Meyer Media label. As one of the few female organists in a male-dominated field, Archer serves as an advocate for female organists and composers. According to the New York Times, she plays with “a sense of vulnerability and awe.”

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students. — G.G.
